The museum-cum-public library is housed in an old heritage structure, built in 1922 and renovated in the 1940s. The museum provide further insights into history of Taj city by housing statues, murals and manuscripts, artefacts, historical documents that were hitherto lying scattered at various places.
A children's library is a new feature and the museum will be a big draw. The children can now enjoy the ambience and the beautiful collection of books here. The walls have Micky Mouse and Jerry painted. The furniture is new and the facilities A class. The main hall is being used as a reading room. On the side there is an exclusive Children's library. The first floor galleries are being used as museum wings.
