          Briefly describe the history of the museum, its collection and donors. 
              Exhibited in the iconic Jorasanko Thakurbari, the residence of the Tagore family, the collection comprises of personal letters, first edition books, and clippings on Tagore. The objects in the collection were gifted to the museum by the members of the Tagore family.
It also houses a fine collection of Indian style, western style, Anglo- Indian school, traditional schools of Bengal district, and Bazar paintings. There is a little bit of everything- furniture, utensils, craft and sculpture, records, photographs, and archival documents that reflect to visitors how the Tagore family lived.
