The walk will begin at the Ahar Museum, which displays a large collection of artefacts gathered from one of the largest rural Bronze Age sites of the Ahar-Banas culture of south Rajasthan. This will be followed by a visit to the Ahar Cenotaph Complex that houses 250 cenotaphs built by the Mewari kings over a period of 350 years, with a special focus on the royal memorials, also known as the Mahasatya ji, which is one of the largest cenotaphs existing, covering an area of 3.02 hectares. The walk will then proceed to Gangaudbhav Kund or Gangu Kund, a place known as the origin of the holy river Ganga, followed by Bhaktimati Meera Temple, a tenth-century temple famous for its elevated plinth with intricate carvings and continuous panels of sculptures.
Also, preserving the initiative of India Heritage Walks, of protecting and promoting local art and craft, the walk will end with a visit to traditional tie-and-die shops which are involved in keeping the indigenous craft alive.
