The National Philatelic Museum, set up in 2011, celebrates the history of the postal service in India and around the world. It is an actively growing archive of stamps, collected from across the globe and presented in an organised fashion. The stamps in this repository also include limited-issue collections that cover historical events and socio-economic areas such as landmark political events, birth and death anniversaries and more. The museum is run the by the Department of Post.
