The Kerala Folklore Museum is referred to as an architectural museum since three storeys of the building are built in three different styles: namely the Malabar, Cochin, and Travancore styles. The museum contains stone, wood, and bronze sculptures, terracotta works, stone age objects, jewellery, paintings, oil lamps, musical instruments, tribal and folk art, wood works, utensils, masks, traditional art forms and so on.
